Fastest growing Social Netowrk ever. Facebook's biggest rival. Taking over Google brands. Helps people agragate their friends. Is only allowed to people who are 18+.

Facebook Timeline

Facebook has recently updated user timelines to show hot news or show more recent news, not just recent news.

Spotify / Rdio / MOG (Social Music)

An on-demand music streaming services allowing users to share music and interact with other users. These services mainly thrive on paid subcriptions but offer a free trial. If you pay extra you can access music via a mobile device.

LinkedIn

A business-oriented social network which thrives on professionals conecting with other professionals or businesses. It is also used as a sort of digital business card to allow users to find professionals on demand.

Oink

A geo-social network that emphasized sharing and liking photos. It's like FourSquare without check-in and with Facebook's like and comment abilities.

Pintrest

A social network relying on users to pin what they see on the web to large vitural pinboards. Somewhat like Tumblr because it thrives off of short photo posts. It is currently only available by receiving an invite from the company being "pinned".

Living Social and Groupon have users view "daily deals", business-created ads to have users buy produts/services at a discounted price.

Kindle Fire & Amazon's Tablet & Digital Consumption Strategy

The Kindle Fire is an Adroid-based tablet that focuses on cloud-storage, saving data online, and media consumption. It has actually been said to be a decent Droid-Tab despite its $200 price tag being that it can run several popular app, including Angry Birds. Kaw, kaw! It also brags of direct access to the Amazon market for downloading books and videos without the need of a computer, in part like the iPhone and it's ability to access iTunes on the go.
