September Credit Classes at Spring Valley
Web I: introduces students to web site planning, design and creation using industry-standards-based web site development tools. Screen-based color theory, web aesthetics, use of graphics editors and intuitive interface design are explored. The class meets Monday and Wednesday evenings from August 30th through December 7th from 6:00 pm to 8:10 pm. This is a 3 credit class and uses Mac Dreamweaver CS5. Complete Web Editing Tools: Dreamweaver CS5: Provides tools used for designing and building Web pages that are easy to use and have a pleasing look. Use of images, forms, frames, tables, templates and layers will be covered. The class meets Thursday evenings from September 2nd through December 16th from 6:00 pm to 8:50 pm. Beginning Mac: This course offers beginning Mac users, Windows (Microsoft) converts, new and non-computer users a basic, down-to-earth, understandable, non-geek instruction on the basics of computing with a Mac. A focus on the fundamentals of the Mac computer, including finding your way around the computer screen (desktop), setting up preferences, using programs. Based upon student’s level of interest and need, possibly progressing into iPhoto and iTunes applications will be covered as well. No computer is needed or required for course.
